(Complete Recipe) Bao Dough

Pau dough

Ingredients:
500 gm pau flour
100 gm castor sugar
2 tsp instant yeast
2 tbsp shortening
250-270ml water

Method:
1. Mix all the ingredients except water into the mixing bowl .beat at low speed till well mixed.Slowly add in water and mix into a smooth dough. Leave the dough to rest for 10-15 min.
2. Divide dough into 40-50 gm each .Flatten each dough with a rolling pin wrap with filling of your choice.
Put pau onto a piece a paper and leave to proof till almost double in size.
3.Bring water to bring in a steamer.steam pau at medium high heat for 7-10 min depending on size of pau.

* Pau can be kept in freezer after steaming and cool down.Wrap in cling wrap/ plastic bag .When you want to eat thaw it and steam again.
