(Basic Recipe) Long Bean Rice

Long bean rice

Basic Ingredients -
Shallots
Meat ( minced or strips)
Fish cake (optional) Dried shrimps (optional)
Dried oysters (optional)
Rice grains (washed)
Long beans (cut into your preferred length) or you can use Chinese mustard leaves or even cabbage ( wash, clean and cut into small pieces)
Cooking oil

Seasonings of your choice-
Oyster sauce
Soya sauce
Dark caramel sauce
White pepper
Sea salt

Steps -
Heat up some oil in the pan / pot. Sauté shallots followed by dried shrimps, meat and dried oysters. Stir fry until fragrant.
Add in long bean and continue to stir fry
Lastly add in the rice, stir fry, mix well and add your preferred seasonings.
Transfer to a steamer/ rice cooker. Add enough water , then steam / cook.
