Recipe:
400 gm flour250 gm butter
125 gm castor sugar
1 egg
20 gm melted chocolate
20 gm cocoa powder -add 2 tbsp hot water
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp lemon paste
1. cream butter & sugar till light & fluffy. Add in egg & continue beating till well mix. Add in flour seived with baking soda.
2. Divide dough into 2 portion. Add chocolate and cocoa powder into 1 portion while another portion mix in lemon paste.
3.Roll dough separetely into 1/4 " thick and keep both dough in the fridge for about 15 min.
4. cut dough into broad strip and stack up alternating the color.
5. cut into 1 cm strip and stack into check pattern. chill again.
6.once dough harden cut into 1/2 cm thick and bake for 20 min at 170 c.
